Alec wished he knew what Magnus wanted other than the obvious. He was trying, he really was. He knew that Magnus was stuck with him. Since wherever Magnus was from was some form of hell, being summoned by a college student had to be better than whatever Magnus had been doing before Alec had cast the spell. But he knew that Magnus wasn't happy and even if Magnus was a demon, Alec wanted him to be happy.

Too bad nothing he did seemed to please Magnus.

Hunching his shoulder, he made sure the book wouldn't accidentally fall out his pocket, he tried to think of the answer that wouldn't make the situation worse. "It's what you want, isn't it?" Looking up, he gave Magnus a self-deprecating smile. "I just want you to be happy." Without that happiness resulting in death. "You should go to the club, find someone who knows how to act in those places." Unlike Alec who always felt like he had to be on guard while he suffered through terrible music. "I'll be okay on my own."
