Magnus took a long moment to answer, mouth slightly parted as though a response was ready to come out but just needed some coaxing. A part of him did want to go back, of course, if only because this seemed like the kind of situation that Alec truly didn't want. Magnus wasn't exactly empathetic or sensitive to other people's needs, but he didn't like feeling unwanted. No one did.

But at the same time... "A vacation from hell isn't exactly a bad thing," he pointed out with a slight, almost shy smile. "Maybe we deal with the mission later and for right now focus on the Thai and movie."
