Sebastian spent the entire time at the shop, and the walk back to his apartment, smiling and trying to catch glimpses of Alec without him noticing. He was trying to figure out this new unexpected feeling that didn't seem to be going away, only getting stronger.
The food was warm compared to the chill of the wind, but not as warm as Alec's smile and his company. He looked good in the green, too. Conversation was light. He talked about things he'd written to Alec about, but didn't stray too close to things he knew he would have to say. He just didn't want to say them in an elevator or in public.
"I'm still decorating so there isn't much here. A bed. A table. A couch. Dishes."
