It was true that Magnus never spoke the words "forever" or "always" as lightly as most people did. Even to Mundanes, it was frivolous to promise something that may not be so easily kept. And yet, with Alec, the words tasted true and sounded right. Magnus hadn't gone so far as to plan anything, not when Alec's consent was so important in the matter, but a part of him was already determined to make eternity a reality for the both of them. Alec was the light of his life in so many ways, from reading together at breakfast to chasing each other through sex clubs, and "forever" was, to Magnus, a promise to try.
That effort manifested in a variety of ways, most especially now when he was focused on the present and the new experience they had planned to share together. Alec was adorably flustered, which made it even easier to distract his usually sharp mind. Even in marriage, and after making Magnus come apart at the public expo earlier, Alec was still thrown off-guard by Magnus' seduction. It served as a reminder that they were still very much in love, like an endless honeymoon phase that Magnus doubted would ever fade.
Periodically glancing over his shoulder, both to make sure he was being followed and to send promising smirks to Alec, Magnus wove through the crowd. Though there were plenty of potential distractions on all sides, Magnus had one goal of reaching the booth in time to claim it. Inches from sinking down on the cushions, Magnus gasped as strong arms encircled his waist. Their familiar shape and black runes put him at ease that it was only Alec grabbing him, allowing him to relax into their hold. Laughing brightly as he was pulled down into the booth, he shifted in Alec's grasp so he could rest comfortably against his hips and chest.
"An excellent start, your prey is highly impressed," he said with a grin while leaning down to kiss Alec. The booth was perfect for their plan, a small crescent with a minimal table at the center which wouldn't get in the way while still providing an illusion of cover. The pillows that had softened Alec's fall were ideal for comfort, too, and Magnus felt encouraged by how well the setting worked for what he had in store.
"This reminds me a little of our first time together," he murmurs, kissing down the side of Alec's neck and slipping his hands beneath the fabric of his shirt to splay against his chest. "Literally falling into bed together," he continued, kissing up Alec's throat to claim his lips in a kiss, "Feeling so much pleasure just from your hands on my skin as you pulled up my shirt that I lost control of the glamour."
It was difficult to fight back a grin as their game of 'hunter and prey' drew to a temporary end. He'd known that Magnus had been searching for him in the crowd and somehow Alec had managed to blend in when he was taller than most beings and he hadn't cheated by using runes to glamour himself. Somehow he managed to stay hidden until the moment that he 'caught' his 'prey'.
Hearing Magnus' gasp, he knew that he'd caught his husband by surprise, but he hadn't startled him enough for Magnus to rely on magic. Falling back against the cushions, he loosened his hold on Magnus so that his husband could get comfortable. Trying not to look too smug as Magnus looked down at him, he hummed softly as they shared a kiss. For a moment, he forgot about what they had planned for the evening, lost in having Magnus close and both of them so happy that it almost made Alec's chest ache. No wars. No demons. No one to try to drive them apart or tell them that they shouldn't be together. Even the fears related to immortality seemed faded and worn away by simply by the two of them being together.
Laughing softly at the memory of their first time - times - his hands drifted down to the back of Magnus' jeans, remember how he'd fumbled to try to get Magnus out of his pants after their first, disastrous date. "I've been literally falling for you since we met." Breath hitching as Magnus began kissing his neck and his hands somehow found their way under his shirt, he tried to remember their first time. He didn't remember the glamour. Magnus only recently started hiding his eyes...
Maybe his memory was wrong? Did it really matter when Magnus was kissing him? "It had to be more than just my hands." Didn't it? "How could I be that close and not try to kiss you?"
Magnus loved these moments when he was taller than Alec, kneeling and looking down at his gorgeous husband from a different perspective. It never felt wrong, just another angle from which to admire the color of his eyes and the shape of his lips. Combing the fingers of one hand back through Alec's thick hair, Magnus tugged to tilt his head back and expose more neck for him to kiss and bite. His body was bursting with energy and anticipation, and he couldn't help rolling his hips against Alec's as he sucked a dark bruise into the skin just above his deflect rune.
"You're more sure-footed than that, Alexander," he teased softly, grinning against his neck so Alec could feel the faint press of his fangs over his pulse point. "But I'll be there to catch you. And drag you to bed," he added with a low laugh that Alec was more likely to feel than hear. "You're hands, your lips, your body. All of you was built to make me lose control."
Whimpering at the tug on his hair, he eagerly tipped his head the way Magnus directed so that his husband could focus on his neck. No matter how often Magnus found that particular spot, it always made him shiver and moan when Magnus marked him near the deflect rune. The moan turned embarrassingly loud when his husband shifted on top of him, causing Alec to buck his hips, grinding against Magnus while he tried to catch his breath.
"Bite harder." He flushed faintly when he realized what he'd said, but wanting Magnus to do what he'd asked. "I'm not when we're together. I forget about everything except you." Grinning at the memory of how he'd stumbled down the stairs while Magnus had watched, he began pushing Magnus' shirt up, while tracing patterns along his husband's ribs. Hearts and runes before dipping lower until his fingers slipped beneath the waistband of Magnus' pants. Pausing, he pretended to look thoughtful. "I'm not sure if I should be pleased or offended that you're objectifying me."
Alec's willingness to give in to Magnus' directions made him smirk against his neck. After the expo where Alec had taken control of the situation, it felt nice to return the favor with the promise to overwhelm his husband with pleasure. Without a word he bit down with more force, just enough to lightly break the skin with his sharp canines and ensure that there would be a mark there—at least until Alec's quick healing kicked in.
Gasping, trying to place the memory but failing for the moment, Magnus pushed it aside for another time. Wandering hands were very distracting, though he hoped that Alec would feel equally side-tracked when he realized that Magnus wasn't wearing anything beneath his purple jeans. "Perhaps it would make you feel better to objectify me?" he asked, grinning as he pulled away. Pushing up onto his knees, he quickly turned around in Alec's lap, still straddling his hips but now leaning forward against the booth's table with his ass in the air just in front of Alec.
